Win big. Learn something, give something. Enter here.
The summer 2023 campaign is about to launch and that means we’re moving—fleets of ice cream, donut, taco and hot dog trucks hitting the road to reinforce relationships, strengthen partnerships, and create new connections. And in the process, spread the word about our teams, our rehab, and our results

Nonprofit Skilled Nursing: Not for Profit, All for You
With lower hospitalization rates and more discharges home, not-for-profits like Northern Services are a positive choice for short-term rehab and long-term care. They
have a great nursing-staff-to-patient ratio and all profits after expenses are paid back into the facility—money spent on nursing staff, food, and other key quality-of-life
measures.
Nurses who work in nonprofit nursing homes are consistently satisfied with their jobs. A staff that’s less stressed out generally provides improved care. And content staff
members tend to remain longer at a facility. Low turnover rates mean that residents can bond with the nurses and other staff that provide their care.
Not only do nonprofit nursing homes have, on average, lower hospitalization rates, research also shows that they have fewer cases of pressure ulcers, and lower rates of
restraints. Patients appear to heal better in nonprofit nursing homes and are more likely to return to their own homes faster.

Protecting our patients, residents and staff from COVID-19
From the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, our facility has followed the guidelines and recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH). The safety of our residents, patients, staff and their families are our priority and we continue to take an abundance of precaution to protect them.
Our team is well-trained in the importance of proper handwashing and the use of alcohol-based sanitizer, and all are supplied with proper PPE. If they experience symptoms—such as fever or cough—they are instructed to stay home, and they must be cleared before returning to work.
Handwashing and hygiene posters are displayed throughout our facilities, and employee education and training continue based on the latest community and CDC guidelines. In addition, the COVID-19 vaccine is currently being administered throughout the Northern Services Group facilities to staff and residents alike.
